Cycle Safari in Aid of the Marie Keating Foundation and Child.org
Tour de Force Charity Cycle 2026
In October 2026, a truly unique adventure awaits: Cycle Safari. This is not just another cycling event — it’s a once-in-a-lifetime journey through some of the world’s most breathtaking landscapes. For five unforgettable days, you’ll cycle approximately 400KM across iconic national parks including Nakuru, Hell’s Gate, Naboisho Conservancy, and the legendary Masai Mara.
Ordinarily, these protected wildlife parks can only be explored by vehicle. To experience them by bike — surrounded by incredible scenery and wildlife — is a privilege granted to very few people in the world.
This challenge combines the thrill of cycling with the rare opportunity to enter protected parks in a way that is almost never possible. It’s both a personal adventure and a powerful chance to make a lasting impact for families affected by cancer.
Ride through Nakuru, Hells Gate, Naboisho Conservancy, and Masai Mara.
Landscapes of Wonder
From volcanic cliffs and dramatic gorges to sweeping savannahs and forest tracks, the route passes through Nakuru, Hell’s Gate, Naboisho Conservancy, and the Masai Mara. Every day reveals a new backdrop and a fresh test of skill.
Riding Among Wildlife
This is no ordinary cycle. Riders will pedal through protected parks where travel is usually restricted to vehicles — sharing the road with giraffes, zebras, and gazelles in their natural habitat.
Elements in Play
Expect blazing sunshine, cool mornings, and sudden showers. The African climate demands adaptability, resilience, and preparation for whatever the journey brings.
The Marie Keating Foundation is dedicated to making cancer less frightening by enlightening. As one of Ireland’s leading charities in cancer awareness, prevention, and support, the Foundation provides vital education, early detection resources, and assistance to those living with and beyond cancer. Every donation helps ensure that individuals and families receive the guidance and care they need at every stage of their journey.

Child.org works to make pregnancy and birth safer for women and infants in Kenya. We achieve this through our community-led model known as Pregnant Women's Groups, which empower women with maternal and neonatal health knowledge, support, and improved access to quality maternal health services. We also work with health authorities to design and deliver programmes that provide essential maternal education, connect at-risk mums and babies with critical care, and work with communities to foster an environment which recognises the value of empowering women with knowledge and peer support.
Tour de Force
€1.5 million and counting
The Tour de Force was born in 1995, since then we've organized annual charity cycles.
With the generosity of donors across Ireland, we continue riding for change.
Over the years, we have raised and donated nearly €1.5 million to support charities including Aware, Alone, Childline, EB, Headway, Jack and Jill, The Haiti Foundation, The Irish Cancer Association, The Marie Keating Foundation, and Motor Neurone, among many others.
While fundraising has become more challenging, our dedicated cyclists return year after year, proving we are doing something right.
We are truly grateful for the ongoing support that makes this mission possible.
Every pedal stroke makes a difference - Mary Maher
My name is Mary Maher, and for the past ten years, I’ve had the privilege of being involved with Tour de Force, a charity run on a volunteer basis by retired and serving members of An Garda Siochana and friends.
Tour de Force is more than just a cycling event, it’s a testament to the power of community, perseverance, and generosity. Year after year, this family pushes its limits, welcomes new members, and stays united by a shared mission. With every pedal stroke, we know we are making a real difference.

Every pedal stroke makes a difference - Manus McAleer
My name is Manus Mc Aleer & I’ve been a member of Tour de Force for four years. I became involved because I love cycling and I was keen to be part of a team that strives to raise much needed funds for our charities. It quickly became apparent to me that the endeavours of Tour de Force are executed in an efficient, well organised, positive and often humourous manner.
Each year the team welcomes new members and each year we set out on a new cycling challenge: the terrain can be tricky; the climbs can be steep; the routes can be long. However, the infectious camaraderie and positivity of this mobile community helps us push through, recognising that the terrain will become smoother, that we’ll soon be at the peak of that mountain and that we’re pedalling close to the finish line.
It is an honour and a privilege to be part of the Tour de Force team in the knowledge that our efforts are making a real difference.
