When Ciara, a 46-year-old single mum from Kilkenny, was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, she had to stop working. She was physically and mentally exhausted from chemotherapy and major surgery — and she still had to care for her daughter, Saibh.

We also recognise that cancer can change a person’s life, and they need support beyond treatment. We host free Survive and Thrive groups for people impacted by cancer.
Thanks to supporters like you, the Marie Keating Foundation provided care, education, and support to over 25,000 people last year - that’s about 100 individuals every single day.
8,713 people reached through our Mobile Community Nursing Outreach, with over 30% in underserved areas.
858 calls answered through our Ask The Nurse Helpline.
149 grants awarded via our Comfort Fund to help with the cost of cancer.
5,313 students educated through our Cancer Awareness Programme in schools.
174 participants engaged in our Positive Living Programme.
