Barrie Deehan Memorial Fund Run / Walk / Cycle 2025
Join us for a day of fun, joy and laughter as we celebrate Barrie’s memory together at the annual Barrie Deehan fun run, walk or cycle on the 10th of August.
The event will begin at Ballintotis church where we will run, walk or cycle the 4 mile (6.4 km) loop followed by an honorary lap of the lake (2 km) to finish. Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with the area, the route will be sign posted!
The walk will kick off at 11:30am sharp and the run will start at 12pm. We would like to welcome runners, walkers and supporters to the church at 11:25am to see the first group off. Runners and walkers will then reach the finish line at a similar time to enjoy some light refreshments.
We would like to then invite all participants and supporters for post run celebrations and raffle presentation in Clifford’s Bar, Castlemartyr at 4pm!
Race entry is €5 per person and can be paid on the day or in advance via Revolut or online donation. (please note run times will not be electronically recorded).
Raffle tickets will be €5 per strip with some amazing prizes to be won - If you are making an online donation for the raffle, please be sure to enter your name at the time of donation so we can contact you should you win a prize.
As always, the event will be a fun filled day to keep Barrie's memory alive with all proceeds going to the Marie Keating Foundation who went above and beyond to help Barrie during a difficult time! Any donations no matter how small will help the Marie Keating Foundation in their goal to raise awareness about cancer prevention and detection, provide financial assistance to those who are receiving treatment and many other cancer support services.
