Fundraising Disclaimer
We want you to enjoy your fundraising event while staying safe!
- The Marie Keating Foundation accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or injury caused during the event you undertake.
- You are responsible for seeking independent insurance advice and arranging appropriate cover.
- The Foundation’s insurance does not cover personal property, the property of your helpers and guests, or personal liability for injury suffered by yourself or event participants.
- Please exercise common sense regarding health and safety. If food is involved, ensure proper preparation, storage, and cooking, following good hygiene practices.
- Adhere to all current Government COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions.
- The Fundraiser agrees to release the Marie Keating Foundation, to the fullest extent permissible under law, from all claims and liability related to any damage, loss, or injury, except where such liability arises due to negligence by the Marie Keating Foundation or its agents.
- These conditions safeguard the integrity of fundraisers and sponsors while complying with guidance from the Gardaí.
Terms and Conditions
- Any interviews, photographs, or films taken may be used in Marie Keating Foundation publications, promotional materials, the Foundation’s website, or other media-sharing sites (e.g., YouTube).
- The Marie Keating Foundation may also use interviews, photographs, or films to highlight cancer-related issues to the public and media, supporting its mission.
- Where possible, we will ask your permission before reusing any interview, photograph, or film and will explain the intended context.
- Once shared externally, the Marie Keating Foundation cannot guarantee control over third-party usage of interviews, photographs, or films.
Your Fundraising Responsibilities
- All activities must comply with applicable laws.
- If organizing a public collection or raffle, contact your local Garda station for guidance.
- Clearly indicate that your event is in aid of the Marie Keating Foundation.
- Ensure you and your team follow all current Government guidelines and restrictions.
Compliance with Fundraising Guidelines
We are committed to ethical and safe fundraising in accordance with Government legislation, the Charities Institute Fundraising Guidelines, and the Charities Regulator’s guidelines. Please familiarize yourself with these before planning your event.
How We Use Your Information
The information you provide will be securely stored and used by the Marie Keating Foundation to facilitate your participation. It will only be shared with selected third-party service providers contracted by the Foundation to support campaigns. Your information will not be shared with any other organization unless required by law or with your permission. By providing your email and phone number, you agree to be contacted by the Marie Keating Foundation regarding this event. Signing up for the event or campaign means you will receive a confirmation email and subsequent updates via email, phone, or SMS.
