Why it matters
Right now, 1 in 2 people in Ireland will receive a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime.
Behind every diagnosis is a person, a family, a workplace, a community.
The Marie Keating Foundation is one of the leading voices in Ireland for cancer prevention, awareness, and support. The Foundation is committed to being there for people diagnosed with cancer and their families at every step of the cancer journey.
Through the Foundation’s information and support services, they reach thousands of people every year, giving education, information and advice focused on cancer prevention and early detection, as well as providing support services and financial assistance to those living with and beyond cancer. Their nurses and mobile information units deliver the critical message of cancer prevention and early detection to communities and schools nationwide. By providing these services free of charge, particularly to people in disadvantaged and marginalised communities, they ensure that those most in need can access information and support, helping to break down barriers to early diagnosis and care.
The Marie Keating Foundation exists to ensure that no one faces cancer alone.
By taking part in 100K in 30 Days, you’re not just completing a challenge — you’re helping to fund services that people rely on at some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Every kilometre moved.
Every euro raised.
Every conversation started.
It all makes a difference.
Together, through movement and community, we can fund the services that bring information, reassurance, and support when it’s needed most – at every step.
