Support doesn't end when treatment does
On 1 May 2024, Tracey was diagnosed with Stage 3 Grade 3 breast cancer.
What followed was an incredibly difficult year of chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy. Like many people affected by breast cancer, Tracey found that the emotional and physical challenges continued long after treatment ended.
Through the Marie Keating Foundation's Survive & Thrive programme, Tracey found support, understanding and hope as she adjusted to life after treatment.
"Today I am a proud cancer survivor. I am deeply grateful for the support I received and proud to share my story to offer hope to others." ~ Tracey Kelly

From Oncology Nurse to Breast Cancer Survivor
Just two months after her wedding, Joy was diagnosed with breast cancer.
As an oncology nurse, Joy had spent years supporting cancer patients through treatment. Suddenly, she found herself on the other side of the bed, facing surgery, chemotherapy and the uncertainty that comes with a cancer diagnosis.
When treatment ended, the challenges didn't disappear. The emotional and physical impact continued long after active treatment finished.
"I thought when chemotherapy and surgery were done, I'd get my life back. That wasn't the case."
Through the Marie Keating Foundation's Survive & Thrive programme, Joy found support, understanding and a community of people who understood what life after cancer really feels like.
Today, Joy shares her story to help others know they are not alone.
