Getting started
How can I fundraise?
There are lots of ways to fundraise for the Marie Keating Foundation, from taking on a challenge to organising an event with friends, family, your school or workplace. Visit our Fundraising page for inspiration and choose something that works for you.
Do I need to register my fundraiser?
We recommend registering your fundraiser with us so we know what you’re planning and can support you along the way. Registering also gives you access to your own fundraising page, which you can personalise and share with your friedns, family and wider circle.
Can I fundraise on my own or as part of a group?
Absolutely! You can fundraise on your own or get friends, family, colleagues or your community involved and fundraise together.
Can I fundraise in memory of someone?
Yes. Fundraising in memory of someone is a meaningful way to celebrate their life while supporting the work of the Marie Keating Foundation.
Can my school get involved in fundraising?
Yes! You can organise your own fundraiser or challenge and get students, staff and families involved.
Can my workplace or company get involved in fundraising?
Yes! Workplaces and companies can get involved in lots of ways, from organising a team fundraiser or challenge to supporting a fundraising event. If you need any support, please contact our coprate manager CHolland@mariekeating.ie.
Your fundraising page
How do i create my fundraising page?
Click 'Start Fundraising' on the homepage and follow the steps to register. Once you’re registered, you’ll automatically have access to your own fundraising page.
How do I personalise my fundraising page?
Once you’re registered, you can personalise your page by adding a profile photo, setting your fundraising target and writing your own fundraising message. You can also add updates to your page throughout your fundraiser to share your progress and keep your supporters involved.
How do I share my fundraising page?
Once your page is live, you can copy and paste the link to share it with friends, family and colleagues through social media, WhatsApp, email or text. You can also use the social sharing buttons on your fundraising page to make it quick and easy.
Donations
How do I lodge the money I've raised?
You can lodge the money you’ve raised by bank transfer, through the donation button on our website, or by sending us a cheque.
How much should I aim to raise?
There’s no set amount you need to raise. Choose a target that feels achievable for you and your fundraiser — every amount raised makes a difference!
How will the money I raised be used?
The money you raise will help the Marie Keating Foundation provide vital cancer information, prevention and support services to people and families across Ireland.
Do you accept cash donations?
We do not accept cash donations sent by post. If you’ve collected cash as part of your fundraiser, please lodge it securely and transfer the funds to us using one of the payment methods outlined above.
How do I know my donation has been received?
Once your donation has been received, you’ll receive a confirmation receipt by email. If you can’t see it in your inbox, please check your junk or spam folder.
Fundraising support
Do you provide any fundraising materials?
Yes! We have a range of downloadable resources available to help support your fundraiser. You can find them on our Fundraising Resources & Guides page.
Can someone from the Foundation attend my event?
We may be able to arrange for a member of the Marie Keating Foundation team to attend your event, depending on availability. Please contact fundraising@mariekeating.ie with the details of your event. Unfortunately, we can’t always accommodate every request due to our small team size and limited staff availability.
Who can I contact if I need support with my fundraiser?

General
Can I use the Marie Keating Foundation name and logo?
Yes. You’re welcome to use the Marie Keating Foundation name and logo when promoting your fundraiser.
What should I do if my fundraising plans change or I need to cancel my event?
We understand that plans can change. If you need to postpone, change or cancel your fundraiser, please contact us at fundraising@mariekeating.ie.
Can I fundraise outside of Ireland?
Yes you can fundraise for us from anywhere in the world!
Can I fundraise for the Marie Keating Foundation through another platform?
We recommend using our own fundraising platform where possible, but you’re welcome to use another fundraising platform if you prefer
Do I need insurance for my fundraising event?
Depending on the type of event you’re organising, you may need the appropriate insurance. It’s your responsibility to make sure any insurance or permissions needed for your fundraiser are in place before the event.
