Pedalling with Purpose GDHV Cyclethon for Prostate Cancer

We are proud to come together as colleagues for the GDHV Cyclethon, raising funds in support of prostate cancer awareness and early detection through the Marie Keating Foundation.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men in Ireland.

  • 1 in 7 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime

  • Over 4,000 men are diagnosed every year

  • When detected early, survival rates are over 90%

These numbers remind us why awareness and early detection matter so much—and why initiatives like this can truly save lives.

By taking part in this Cyclethon, we are helping to fund vital education programs, free prostate cancer checks, and community outreach services that reach men who may otherwise delay or avoid screening. Every kilometre cycled and every euro donated helps turn concern into care and awareness into action.

This is about more than fundraising—it’s about looking out for one another. Whether you donate, cycle, or simply share our page, your support sends a powerful message: no one faces cancer alone. Together, as one GDHV team, we can make a meaningful difference for men, families, and communities across Ireland.
