I've created this page because I want to make a difference.

I'm 100% inspired by my Dad Nicky.  The mental and physical strength he found within himself to get through an extremely unexpected discovery & diagnosis of a malignant tumor which required very high risk major emergency surgery to remove the tumour & some of his colon.  We want to give back and raise funds for cancer research and awareness regarding colorectal cancer.  We want to also create awareness that colorectal cancer isn't just an "older person's" Cancer and advocate for lowering the national bowel cancer screening age cohort which is currently only inclusive between age of 59yrs of age to 69yrs of age.   Evidence based research has proven that 1 in 10 people under the age of 50 are diagnosed with colorectal cancer.  Lowering the current national bowel screening age to include people from age range of 35yrs to 69yrs of age would significantly increase the early detection of colorectal cancer.  Early detection significantly increases mortality.  The work of the Marie Keating Foundation helps to continue the fight against cancer by helping continue research, so I wanted to raise money by fundraising my way.

Please help Me, Dad and Freddie help them by giving whatever you can. The more people that know about The Marie Keating Foundation, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family.

Thank you in advance from Myself & for your generosity, it means a lot!

My Updates

Goal target smashed

Sunday 28th Apr
Challenge completed early.  Freddie 🐶 smashed it especially by motivating me on days where I really felt it was easier to choose staying on the sofa than getting up and out for a walk.

Update

Wednesday 24th Apr
€160 raised so far & the 100km in steps walked already well smashed ahead of time. All in aid of The Marie Keating Foundation for April Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month on behalf of my Dad Nicky, Myself & Freddie. Freddie is the one who motivates me to take on these challenges & gives me the drive to complete the challenges as he's my little furry side kick & bestie 🐶 I bought Freddie a well deserved and well earned new little toy for all his extra walks. Poor toy looks as if he's faith has been decided by Freddie by the look on its face 🤣🐶 Thanks so much everyone.

Progress update

Sunday 7th Apr
Day 6 - Total of 18000K steps walked together so far ❤️ wondering will Freddie still have this happy enthusiastic head on him come the end of April 😂❤️
Also I've a total of €100 raised so far... I've received donations through revolut I'll lodge in a lumpsum at the end.
I'm extremely grateful to you all who donated and support us.
