Post #1: The Journey to 100K Begins

Monday 8th Jun

Ladies and gentlemen, walkers and occasional wanderers,

Over the next 30 days, our mission is simple: collectively walk 100,000 steps in support of a great cause. In theory, this sounds easy. In reality, some of us are already discovering that the distance between the couch and the refrigerator may not be enough to carry the team.

Week 1 has brought excitement, determination, and several employees suddenly volunteering to take the longest route possible to the coffee machine. Elevators are being viewed with suspicion. Parking spots are being selected based on maximum inconvenience. Some team members have even been spotted pacing during meetings, which we're choosing to interpret as dedication rather than restlessness.

Our strategy is straightforward:

Walk with purpose.
Walk for charity.
Walk off at least some of the snacks we've accumulated during virtual meetings.

Will we reach 100K?

Absolutely.

Will we complain about sore legs along the way?

Also absolutely.

Stay tuned for updates, leaderboard drama, and the inevitable realization that someone on our team somehow walks 20,000 steps before most of us have finished our first cup of coffee.
