The goal of 250 euro has officially been hit and the month is only half way over! A huge thank you to everyone who donated and supported my fundraiser. I'll be giving everyone a shout out on the next video. The video should contain bits and pieces of my walks from the first half of the month.

Why I'm doing it?

Cancer is a very complex and horrible disease that has plagued the entire world. It is very common to encounter someone whose lives have been affected by cancer - and I'm no exception. 

My dad has been battling cancer since he turned 60 and his first battle was with lung cancer. Now, he's on his second battle - fighting leukaemia.

This fundraiser is very personal to me as cancer has affected the lives of many people around me. So please, join in me on this journey by either contributing to the donation goal! It doesn't have to be a huge amount, and if you're not in a position to donate, please join and start your own 100 km in the month of June challenge and let me know your journey!

Hi Folks, 

I'm taking part in this year's Marie Keating Foundation 100 km in the month of June challenge. I'll be doing this along with my co-workers, however, each one of us will be doing our own separate challenge. 

As a healthcare worker who works in the Finglas community, I do a lot of cycling and walking during my work days and doing 100 km in 30 days would be far too easy, as a result, I will only be counting my walks during my days off to make it more challenging! Instead of having the full month, I will only have around 10 days to complete the challenge. This means that I need to walk 10 km on average during my days off. This will be challenging as the work I do during my working days are already physically demanding and doing extra physical activities during my rest days will be no joke.
