Hi there,
I’m taking part in the 100km in 30 Days challenge this June in support of the Marie Keating Foundation.
I was fortunate enough to find the Marie Keating Foundation BRCA support group soon after I was diagnosed as BRCA 1 positive in 2018 and this group is a life line for me and so many women and families living with BRCA 1. With monthly online meetings, to peer support, BRCA conferences and an amazing WhatsApp group there is always someone there. With the support of this group I have been fortunate to have successfully had 2 risk reducing operations.
I feel very fortunate to have had the information and support to reduce my risks of getting both breast and ovarian cancer and by doing this challenge I want to give back to this amazing group which I will always be apart off while honouring those who have passed away as a result of the BRCA gene mutation💔
